Brief Introduction
CHAdeMO is an abbreviation of “CHArge de MOve”. CHAdeMO is one of several competing charging plug (and vehicle communication) standards for DC fast charging.
Product Features
- Tested in accordance with selected tests of IEC / EN 62196-3 standards.
- The CHAdeMO inlet has good flame retardant performance, fire rating UL 94 V-0.
- The CHAdeMO EV charging connector (inlet) with 2 temperature monitor on current carry pins DC+ and DC-.
- Highly weather-resistant outer mold materials. The CHAdeMO EV inlet with a IP67 level.
- Max up to 200A 120KW fast charging.
- Capable all CHAdeMO electric cars.
Application:
The CHAdeMO EV charging connector (inlet) made to provide pure electric and hybrid vehicle charging solutions. It use to install on electric cars as recharging inlet.
Understanding Electric Vehicle Charging
Q1: What communicate is used between electric vehicle and charging station?
A: For AC charging, the electric car and EV charger communicate by PMW (Pulse Width Modulation).
Usually when charger and car is standby, the PMW is around 12V, after the charging connector plugged into EV side, the PMW will drop to around 9.6V, then PWM will be 6.6V to allow charging happen.
PWM duty cycle (%) or PWM Duty Ratio
A Method for Remote Control of EV Charging by PMW, PWM duty cycle indicating ampere capacity.
Control Pilot (Current limit): The charging station can use the wave signal to describe the maximum current that is available via the charging station with the help of pulse width modulation: a 16% PWM is a 10 A maximum, a 25% PWM is a 16 A maximum, a 50% PWM is a 32 A maximum and a 90% PWM flags a fast charge option.
